Feb. 7, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Japanese auto giant Toyota Motor sold a total of 883,000 vehicles in mainland China last year, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 4%.
Sales in Hong Kong
totaled 895,000 units, nearly meeting Toyota Motor's sales target of 900,000 units, said the vehicle manufacturer.

>, saw its China sales reach 538,000 units in 2011. The JV sold 67,000 Reiz models in China last year, 26.3% more than it sold in 2010, while sales of its RAV4 models stood at 100,600 units.
In 2011, Toyota Motor sold around 300,000 Corolla models in China, making Corolla the country's top passenger vehicle market. The populous model also dominated the world's car market with around 1.02 million units sold last year, said a person familiar with the matter.
Sales of the Japanese firm's most populous SUV model Prado reached 21,903 units in China last year, up 43.2% year on year.
