Feb. 7, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Corp sold a total of 1.24 million Nissan and Infiniti branded vehicles in China last year, 21.9% more than it sold in 2010, sources reported.

> and Nissan Motor, saw its China sales reach 808,440 autos in 2011, up 22.4% from the year 2010, while Nissan Motor's another Chinese JV, named Zhengzhou

Yutong Group Co Ltd, sold 115,518 vehicles, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 15.4%.
Sales of Infiniti, Nissan Motor's luxury auto unit, totaled 19,075 units in China last year, surging more than 60% from the year 2010.
The Japanese vehicle maker targets 1.35 million auto sales for 2012.
At the end of 2011, Nissan Motor had owned nearly 60 Infiniti franchise stores in China and expects to increase the outlet volume to about 90 by the end of this year.
Nissan Motor has also started construction on an Infiniti plant in Dalian
Province for local production. The facility would go into operation in 2014.
