Beijing E-Town recognizes 51 outstanding talents

Jan. 31, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Beijing E-Town, a triple-A rated industrial park, recently awarded prizes to 51 high-level talents working in the development area for their outstanding achievements, according to sources from E-Town.
Of the total, four won the Boda Contribution Award, which is the highest award in the development area and is given once every two years in recognition of those technological and management staff who have made outstanding achievements in economic development and technology progress.
In addition, 47 overseas individuals and their enterprises also awarded. The recognition of overseas high-level talents is aimed to attract industrial leaders that have international advance experience, equipped with international network and communication, and able to lead economic and social development at international standards.
Over the years, Beijing E-Town allocated more than RMB 53 million to fund its talent support measures.
As of to date, Beijing E-Town has granted the Boda Contribution Award to 31 talents and recognized 156 overseas individuals.
In recent years, Beijing E-Town adopted a strategy to rely on talents to drive its development, and it has introduced ten such major projects, including recruitment of talents and innovators.
So far, the development area has attracted a workforce of over 200,000, including 236 high profile achievers, 27 talents listed in the "The 1,000 Individuals Plan", 37 selected from the Beijing's overseas talent cluster project, and 20 in this category enjoy preferential treatments from the State Council.

Since 2008, these talents had successfully secured 69 projects listed in China's eleventh "5-years Plan' totaled RMB 700 million. At the end of last year, Beijing E-Town was designated as the national-level innovative business powerhouse for foreign talents.
