Google China ranked second with a 16.7% market share, followed by Sogou Inc, an online search engine of Sohu.com Inc<SOHU

In the first quarter of 2011, China's search engine market size reached RMB 3.25 billion, reflecting a sequential decline of 15.6%. But the market size surged 33.2% to RMB 4.32 billion in the second quarter and increased 24.5% to RMB 5.38 billion in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter of last year, the country's market size in search engine field reached RMB 5.8 billion, up 7.8% quarter on quarter.
For the whole year of 2011, China's market size in search engine industry totaled RMB 18.75 billion, which is also expected to rise this year, said analysts.
