Kweichow Moutai forecasts 65% surge in 2011 profit

Jan. 18, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Kweichow Moutai Co Ltd<600519>, China's top ultra-premium traditional liquor maker, announced yesterday that it expects its net profit to grow more than 65% year on year in 2011.

The Shanghai-listed company booked a net profit of RMB 5.05 billion in 2010, up 17.13% year on year.

Kweichow Moutai reported a net profit of RMB 6.57 billion for the first three quarters of 2011, nearly 60% more than that in the same period of 2010, due to a price hike and an increase in liquor sales volume. Basic earnings per share were RMB 6.33 in the reporting period.

The company realized RMB 13.64 billion of operating revenue in the first nine months of last year, reflecting a robust growth of 46.26% year on year.
