>, which is engaged in the development, construction and management of clean energy power plant, has announced that its electricity output fell 2.9% year on year to 3.62 terawatt hours (TWhs) in 2011, due to a sharp decline in hydropower output amid a severe drought.
The Hong Kong-listed
company saw its electricity output from hydropower plants plunge 43.2% year on year to 950 gigawatt hours (GWhs).
Electricity output from natural gas and waste power was 1.02 TWhs and 537 GWhs, down 12.7% and 7.0% year on year, respectively.
However, the company's wind power output surged 275.5% year on year to 1.1 TWhs last year.
