saw its apparel online shopping market reach RMB 204.90 billion last year, reflecting a robust growth of 94.7% year on year, according to the latest report released by iResearch Consulting Group, a leading supplier of online business and new economy developments service in China
In 2010, the country's clothing online market soared 119.3% year on year to RMB 105.24 billion, according to the report.
iResearch also expected that the country's clothing online market to hit RMB 519.50 billion in 2014, which will account for 26.9% of the its online shopping market.
The strong growth in the clothing online market was due to a low overall penetration rate and a higher rate of repeated purchases, said iResearch.
