>, China's second-largest publicly-traded power supplier, yesterday announced that the group, along its subsidiaries, generated 203,716 gigawatt hours (GWh) of power last year, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 14.14%.
In a statement filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange
, the electricity supplier sold 192,143 GWh of power in 2011, 14.22% more than that in 2010. Inner Mongolia
Datang International Tuoketuo Power Generation Co Ltd, one of the group's subsidiaries, generated the most power of 22,150 GWh last year, up 11.12% from two years ago, followed by another unit in Guangdong
Province with electricity output surging 70.29% year on year to 20,290 GWh.
In the first three quarters of 2011, Shanghai
and Hong Kong-listed
Datang International Power Generation reaped RMB 354.71 million in net profit attributable to shareholders, reflecting a year-on-year plunge of 53.74% from RMB 1.21 billion.
The group's fiscal result for the whole year of 2011 has yet been disclosed.
