>, the country's largest air carrier by fleet size, has said that its passenger throughput rose 6.3% year on year to 6.33 million in December last year, sources reported.
The December passenger volume was 3.3% less than the 6.54 million in November.
Last month, the air carrier's cargo and mail throughput rose 3.2% year on year to 104,710 metric tons.
China Southern Airlines saw its passenger load factor fall 1.6 percentage points to 77.8% and its overall load factor decrease 1.1 percentage points to 68.4% in December.
In the whole of 2011, the company's passenger volume amounted to 80.67 million, up 5.5% year on year, and its cargo and mail throughput grew 1.4% year on year to 1.13 million metric tons.
