Jan. 10, 2012 (China Knowledge) - U.S.-based auto giant General Motors Corp and its China joint ventures sold a total of 2.55 million vehicles last year, representing a year-on-year growth of 8.3%, said the automaker in a statement.
Last month, GM saw its China sales rise 9.8% year on year to 196,797 units, the highest level ever recorded in December.Shanghai

Automotive Industry Corp, sold 1.20 million cars last year, up 16.2% year on year, due to the boost by strong growth in sales of Buick and Cadillac vehicles.
GM's three-way joint venture SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co Ltd saw its sales of mini-vans and passenger cars grow 4.8% year on year to 1.29 million units last year.
FAW-GM, the joint venture between GM and FAW Group, delivered 56,132 vehicles last year.
