>, a leading Chinese diesel engine manufacturer, aims to sell 568,000 diesel engines in 2012, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 9.11%, sources reported.
The U.S.-listed company has saw the roll-out of the 4.6 millionth diesel engine, said Zhong Yuwei, Deputy General Manager of the firm's major operating subsidiary, Guangxi
Yuchai Machinery Co or GYMCL, at the 60th anniversary celebrations of parent firm Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group.
Zhong added that GYMCL will focus on the marine engines, 6L and 6M heavy-duty engines for use in buses and selected light-duty truck engine models.
In 2010, GYMCL sold 551,592 diesel engines in China, said a person familiar with the matter, adding that sales volume for 2011 has yet been disclosed.
Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group, established in 1951, reaped more than RMB 37 billion in 2010 and might have earned RMB 40 billion in 2011.
