Taiwan, said that its net loss for the second quarter of this year narrowed to NT$6.69 billion from the NT$7.9 billion it realized in the corresponding period of last year, sources reported.
In the three month ended June 30, the chip maker saw its operating revenue decrease 12% from a year earlier to NT$10.1 billion.
The DRAM chip demands in consumer products are expected to remain strong in the third quarter of this year, said the company.
DRAM's price might rise in the next quarter and the total shipment is expected to grow 24% to 27% from a quarter earlier, the company added.
