Beijing Economic-technological Development Area or
BDA located, signed ten major project agreements during the 14th China Beijing International High-tech Expo, which will attract a total of RMB 52.57 billion to the area.
The agreements involved emerging industries such as the LED and biopharmaceutical sectors.
Pursuant to one of these agreements, China Southern Airlines Ltd<

1055>, the country's largest airline by fleet size, will invest RMB 30 billion to build a modern aviation industry base in the area. During the period from 2011 to 2015, E-town plans to build a new airport industry park, which will include headquarters of aviation enterprises, airport services, airport logistics and high-tech manufacturing sectors.
In addition, state-owned Irico Group plans to build an optoelectronic industry park in the area, which will form complete LED and OLED industrial chains ranging from research and development, test to production. The park is expected to generate an annual output value of RMB 20 billion upon completion.
The 13th Research Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corp plans to invest RMB 394 million in an integrated circuits design and semiconductor lighting project, which is expected to realize RMB 680 million in output value each year. So far, E-Town has established a complete semiconductor lighting industrial chain raging from the R&D of LED chips, production, LED packaging, application to testing.
Beijing Eastern Chieftain Automation Technology Co Ltd, the largest provider of automation system solutions for the bioengineering industry in China, will invest RMB 600 million to build an industry base in E-Town, and Beijing Centre Biology Co will pour RMB 300 million to build an R&D base for animal vaccines.
E-Town expected that it will attract more than RMB 500 billion of investments in major industrial projects over the next five years.
