Tmall's sold RMB 20 bln of 3C products in H1

Aug. 2, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Tmall.com, a unit of taobao.com, the leading Chinese online B2C portal owned by Alibaba.com Ltd<1688>, saw its transaction value of 3C products, make up of computer, communication and consumer-electronics, exceeded RMB 20 billion in the first half of this year.

The figure was over triple it realized in the corresponding period of last year and exceeded the whole of last year transaction value.

In the first quarter of this year, Tmall saw its 3C products' transaction reached RMB 8 billion, while a series of promotional activities also boosted its transaction in the second quarter.

It is expected that tmall.com will realize RMB 50 billion in total sales of 3C products this year.
