May. 15, 2012 (China Knowledge) –Volkswagen AG announced that its auto sales in
China increased 16.8% year-on-year to 225,000 vehicles in April, sources reported.
Last month, the automaker saw its sales of Volkswagen’s brands reached169,900 vehicles in
China, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 14.3%, while the sales of Audi’s models jumped 44% year-on-year to 23,766 vehicles.
The sales of Skoda’s models grew 1.1% more than a year earlier to 20,400 vehicles last month.
In the first four month of this year, the German company's auto sales totaled 858,900 vehicles in
China market, up 15.9% year-on-year, which includes 653,300 units of Volkswagen makes and 124,284 units of Audi’s, rose 13% and 41.4% year-on-year, respectively.
