Jun. 7, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Chery Automobile Co Ltd, the largest private automaker in China, has said that its auto exports reached a monthly record of 20,093 units in May this year.
The exports last month, also the highest ever recorded among domestic carmakers, reflected a growth of 42.4% YoY or 15.4% from the previous month.
Spokesman Jin Yibo said earlier that the
Anhui Province-based automaker will try to export at least 170,000 vehicles this year, according to
earlier report from China Knowledge.
In 2011, Chery's auto exports hit a record 160,200 units.
Chery, with 16 production bases overseas, has more than 1,153 dealers outside China.
