Aug. 8, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Chimei Innolux Corp, the third-largest LCD manufacturer in the world, announced that its suffered a net loss of NT$9.57 billion or US$319 million for the second quarter of this year, narrowing from a loss of NT$13.01 billion in the same period of 2011.

The company said the loss is mainly due to falling demands in television and computer industry.

During the three months ended Jun 30 2012, Chimei Innolux saw its operation revenue decreased 7.5% from a year earlier to NT$112.52 billion.

In the first quarter of this year, the LCD manufacturer's operation revenue dropped 12% YoY to NT$109.27 billion, while its net loss for the period were NT$12.77 billion.
