Macau saw its domestic merchandise exports rise 12.6% YoY to MOP643 million in April this year, according to the latest statistics released by the Statistics and Census Service of
Macau.
In April, the city's domestic exports grew 7.1% YoY to MOP194 million, and its re-exports rose 15.2% YoY to MOP448 million.
The city's total merchandise imports rose 20.5% YoY to MOP5.78 billion in April, and its merchandise trade deficit reached MOP5.14 billion in the month.
In the first four months of this year, the value of total merchandise exports in the city rose 19.6% YoY to MOP2.62 billion, while that of imports was MOP23.11 billion, up 29% YoY. The city's trade deficit amounted to MOP20.49 billion during the period.
Macau's exports of textiles and garments dropped 18.0% YoY to MOP372 million in the first four months, while exports of non-textile products surged 29.5% to MOP 2.25 billion.

Hong Kong and mainland China were MOP1.28 billion and MOP444 million during the period, up 34.6% and 25.5% YoY, respectively, and its imports from mainland China surged 36.6% to MOP7.34 billion, and imports from the E.U. rose 18.8% to MOP7.34 billion.
