Aug. 15, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China’s sale of multi-passenger vehicle (MPV) reached 37,084 units in July 2012, reflecting a YoY decrease of 0.86% or down 11.22% MoM.
Last month the country's MPV output rose 1.06% from a year earlier to 37,906 units, however, the figure was 8.91% lower than it realized in June 2012.
In the first seven months of this year, China's MPV sales amounted to 285,805 units, 3.62% more than in the same period of last year, while its MPV output edge up 0.08% YoY to 284,420 units. The top three MPV sellers during this period in China were Dongfeng Automobile Co Ltd<
600006>, Shanghai GM and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Corp<
600418>, whose sales were 104,345 units, 36,833 units and 30,691 units, respectively.
Meanwhile Dongfeng Automobile produced a total of 104,543 units of MPVs in the seven-month period and ranked first, followed by Shanghai GM with 32,002 units and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile with 30,725 units.
