600519>, China's top ultra-premium traditional liquor maker, has announced its net profit attributable to shareholders to hit RMB 7 billion in the first half of this year, reflecting a YoY increase of 42.56%.
Basic earnings per share for the period were RMB 6.74, RMB 2.01 more than in the same period of 2011.
In the first half of this year, the liquor maker saw its operation revenue surged 35% YoY to RMB 13.26 billion.
Revenue from domestic market rose 34.08% from a year earlier to RMB 12.9 billion, while that from overseas market skyrocketed 78.17% YoY to RMB 366.54 billion.
The company earlier reported that its liquor output reached 42,000 metric tons during the six-month period, including 24,000 metric tons of Moutai spirit, 15.3% more than it realized in the corresponding period of last year.
