600418> or JAC, China's leading exporter of light trucks, announced its net profit attributable to shareholders plunged 36.93% YoY to RMB 315.07 million in the first half of this year.
Basic earnings per share for the period were RMB 0.24%, down 38.46% from a year earlier.
The company's operating revenue reached RMB 14.42 billion in the six-month period, reflecting a YoY decrease of 17.32%.
The Chinese automaker sold 226,000 vehicles and chassis in the first half of this year, 15.69% less than in the same period of last year. The firm's auto and chassis output dropped 14.15% YoY to 216,700 units during the period.
From January of June, JAC saw its auto export declined 11.92% YoY to 31,300 units. Last year, the company's auto export skyrocketed 207.19% YoY to 66,000 units.
