0751>, one of the top three TV manufacturers in China, sold 542,000 TVs in the domestic market last month, reflecting a YoY increase of 10% from 491,000 units, according to a statement filed with the
Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
In July, the company saw LED LCD TV sales in China increase by 124% YoY from 228,200 units to 510,100 units, of which 64,700 units were cloud TVs. Sales of 3D TVs reached 157,500 units, up 237% from the same period of last year.
In overseas markets, Skyworth Digital sold 198,000 TVs last month, reflecting a decline of 38% from a year earlier. Of the total, flat-panel TV sales surged 73% YoY to 168,400 units, including 135,800 LED TVs, up 155% YoY from 53,200 units.
Sales revenue in the firm's domestic market grew 8% from a year earlier last month, while the YoY growth stood at 31% in the international market.
From April to July, the company's TV sales volume in China rose 16% YoY to 2.09 million units, and its sales volume in overseas markets increased 17% YoY to 592,000 units.
