Jul. 19, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China, the world's second-largest oil consumer, saw its crude oil output fall 1.6% YoY to 100.11 million metric tons in the first six months of this year, according to the latest figures released by the National Development and Reform Commission.

The country's crude oil output dropped 1.4% in the first quarter and declined 1.8% in the second quarter.
 
The country processed 203.95 million metric tons of crude oil in the 6-month period, 0.2% more than that in the same period of 2011, and saw its output of oil products climb 2.7% YoY to 126.23 million metric tons.

The country's apparent consumption of oil products grew 2.9% YoY to 121.74 million metric tons in the first six months. The consumption of gasoline increased by 6.7% YoY to 37.62 million metric tons, and that of diesel rose 0.8% to 75.12 million metric tons.
