Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co or TSMC, the world's largest contract chip maker by revenue, has said that its unconsolidated revenue grew 20.2% to NT$42.87 billion in June from NT$35.65 billion in the same month of last year.
The unconsolidated revenue in June reflected a decline of 1.7% from May when the figured hit a record high of NT$44.14.
The company saw its consolidated revenue last month rise 18% YoY to NT$43.43 billion.
In the second quarter, the company’s consolidated revenue increased 14.5% from the same period of last year or 19.9% from the first quarter to NT$126.5 billion.
TSMC said yesterday that it had received a proposal from ASML, the world's biggest supplier to chipmakers of machines, on co-investment and it is in the process of evaluating the proposal.
