Civil Aviation Administration of China.
Last month, the industry's cargo and mail throughput fell 6.9% YoY to 445,300 metric tons, said the administration.
In the first four months of this year, the country's air passenger throughput totaled 100.30 million, 9.4% more than in the same period of 2011, and its cargo and mail volume dropped 7.3% YoY to 1.65 million metric tons.
Industry insiders expected that the civil aviation sector would see weaker market demand this month amid slowing economy.
