600009>, the operator of Hongqiao International Airport and Pudong International Airport in
Shanghai, announced that its passenger volume increased 11.96% YoY to 3.84 million in April.
In a statement filed with
Shanghai Stock Exchange, the company saw its passenger volume on domestic flights grew 7.81% YoY to 1.98 million and the passenger volume on international flights surged 21.6% YoY to 1.42 million.
However, its cargo and mail throughput declined 12.06% YoY to 245,000 metric tons last month. The cargo and mail throughput for domestic flights decreased 11.46% from a year earlier to 27,800 metric tons, while for international flights reached 186,400 metric tons, down 12.08% YoY.
Last month, the company's aircraft movements edge up 5.08% YoY to 30,196.
The airport operator earlier reported RMB 367.85 million in net profit attributable to shareholders for the first quarter of this year, up 2.63% YoY, basic earnings per share were RMB 0.19 in the period.
