May. 22, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Brilliance Jinbei Automobile Co Ltd, a joint venture between Brilliance China Automotive Holding Ltd<1114> and Shenyang Jinbei Automotive Co Ltd<600609>, topped China's bus sales in April with 8,601 units sold, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

Jiangling Motors Corp Ltd<000550><200550> ranked second with bus sales hitting 4,736 units, followed by Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Co Ltd's<600066> 3,560 units, Naveco Ltd's 3,112 units, Xiamen King Long United Automotive Industry Co Ltd's 2,446 units, Xiamen Golden Dragon Bus Co Ltd's 2,267 units, King-Long United Automotive Industry (Suzhou) Co Ltd's 2,245 units, Beiqi Foton Motor Co Ltd's 2,168 units, Zhongtong Bus & Holding Co Ltd's 1,183 units and Anhui Ankai Automobile Co Ltd's<000868> 789 units.

In April 2012, the top ten companies' bus sales totaled 31,100 units, accounting for 79.74% of the total such kind of auto sales in China.

In the first four months of this year, China's bus sales volume increased by 1.43% from a year earlier, sources reported.
