May. 21, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China Mobile Ltd<0941><CHL>, the country's largest telecom operator, announced today that its subscribers increased by 5.28 million in April to a total of 672 million.

The net increase of mobile phone users last month was less than the 5.80 million the mobile operator recorded in March.

Last month, the company's 3G users increased 2.31 million, taking the number of 3G users to a total of 61.87 million as of the end of April.

In the first four months of this year, the number of new phone users amounted to 22.91 million.

China Mobile said last week that it is actively talking with Apple Inc to introduce the latter's iPhones, China Knowledge reported earlier.
