May. 11, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Lenovo Group Ltd<0992>, the world's second-largest PC maker, said it will recall 12.338 AIOs in mainland China, due to the faulty power components that may caught fire.

The Chinese PC maker said that the to-be-recalled AIOs include: ThinkCentreM70z and ThinkCentreM90z, sold between May 2011 and Jan 2012.

Previously, Lenovo had recalled about 160,000 units of these two AIOs worldwide.

Li Yi, secretary general of China mobile Internet industry alliance, said that there might be several reasons that cause Lenovo recalls their AIOs such as slack in the control of supply chain, loose control of non-core products and paying too much attention on cost control.

In Feb 2012, Lenovo Group posted a better-than-expected net profit of US$153.46 million for the fiscal Q3, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 54%. China Knowledge reported earlier.
