000100>, a major Chinese TV and mobile phone manufacturer, sold 1.19 million liquid crystal display televisions or LCD TVs, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 75.67%, according to a statement filed with the
Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
Last month, the company's sales volume of handsets and other digital products totaled 4.64 million, up 5.8% from a year earlier. Sales volume of air conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines was 147,400, 25,700 and 77,700 respectively.
In the first 11 months of this year, TCL saw LCD TV sales soar 43.71% year-on-year to 9.3 million units, of which 2.17 million units was derived from the overseas market, swelling 144.8% from a year earlier.
Of the total LCD TV sales for the 11-month period, 3.74 million units were light-emitting diode televisions or LED TVs, reflecting a year-on-year jump of 5.56 folds.
