0991>, China's second-largest publicly-traded electricity producer, earned RMB 355 million in net profit in the third quarter of this year, reflecting a year-on-year drop of 53.74%.
In a statement, the company said its earnings per share for the reporting period were 2.66 RMB cents and no dividend was declared.
In the third quarter of 2011, the
Shanghai and
Hong Kong-listed power supplier saw its operating revenue soar 22.9% from a year earlier to RMB 18.44 billion.
During the period from January to September 2011, the company's net profit dropped 24.28% from a year earlier to RMB 1.21 billion. Its operating revenue increased 17.8% year on year to RMB 51.76 billion.
As of Sep. 30, 2011, Datang International Power Generation had RMB 235.16 billion in total assets, whereas it had RMB 210.76 billion at the end of last September, reflecting an increase of 11.58%.
