000100>, a major Chinese TV and mobile phone manufacturer, said it will add around 800 new retailing outlets in the second half of this year, said Board Secretary Tu Shuyi.
Tu added that these outlets will be principally located in Chinese third- and fourth-tier cities as strong market demand.
Besides TCL's three core businesses, comprising multimedia, communication and household appliances, the company also intends to expand its businesses to photoelectric, real estate and electro-medical fields, as well as distance education industry, said Chairman and CEO Li Dongsheng.

Shenzhen-listed TCL, has increased its LCD TV sales target for 2011 to 9.6 million units from previous 8.5 million units, said the subsidiary's CEO Zhao Zhongyao.
Around 90% of the subsidiary's products are sold in the overseas market, said a person familiar with the matter.
