Mar. 9, 2010 (China Knowledge) - Northeast China's export value increased 21% year on year to US$5 billion in January, accounting for 4.6% of the nation's total, and its import value increased 86% year on year to US$4.88 billion, accounting for 5.1% of nation's total.
Jilin Province's exports were US$340 million, up 59.4% year on year. The rate of growth was 38 percentage points higher than the national average. Its imports were US$1.15 billion, up 82.5% year on year.
Liaoning Province's exports were US$3.78 billion, up 45.1% year on year. The rate of growth was 24 percentage points higher than the national average. Its imports were US$2.88 billion, up 82.1% year on year.
Heilongjiang Province's exports were US$880 million, down 32.4% year on year. Its imports were US$850 million, up 109.5% year on year.
