Mar. 9, 2010 (China Knowledge) - China National Materials Group Corporation Ltd or Sinoma, an enterprise administered by the central government, on Mar. 7 signed a strategic agreement with the Jilin government to build a proving ground for wind power in Baicheng, Jilin Province.
 
The proving ground is designed to have an installed capacity of 200,000 kilowatts.

Song Bolu, vice president of Sinoma Science & Technology Co Ltd<002080>, a wind turbine blade manufacturer belonging to Sinoma, said that the parent company has not decided whether Sinoma Science & Technology will be the operator of the wind project.

Reportedly, Gansu Qilianshan Cement Group Co Ltd<600720>, a subsidiary of Sinoma, has put a 1.2-million ton cement production line into operation, bringing the Shanghai-listed firm's annual cement productivity near Qilian Mountains, in Gansu Province, exceed 10 million tons.
