Hang Seng Index up 1.61% on Wed

Nov. 11, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Hong Kong stocks rose on Wednesday. The Hang Seng Index, the benchmark, opened 266 points higher at 22,534.14. After touching an intraday low of 22,396.04 points, the blue-chip Hang Seng Index rose 359.05 points or 1.61% to close at 22,627.21. Mainboard turnover rose to HK$72.26 billion.
