China Unicom Group raises stake in listed unit

Oct. 6, 2009 (China Knowledge) - China Unicom Group, the parent of China Unicom Ltd<600050><0762><CHU>, has bought back 65.43 million A shares or 0.31% of the listed unit's equity, market sources reported. The Group increased its shareholding in China Unicom Ltd to 61.05% from the previous 60.74%, according to China Unicom's filing with the Shanghai Stock Exchange. China Unicom
