Sep. 24, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Chinese stocks opened lower on Thursday morning, tracking losses from the previous closing.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A shares and B shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, opened at 2,824.58 points, down 0.64% or 18.14 points from the previous closing.
The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller Shenzhen Stock Exchange opened 0.66
