Hang Seng Index opens 271 points higher on Thu

Sep. 17, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Hong Kong stocks rose on Thursday morning, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index opening 271 points higher at 21,674. The Hang Seng China Enterprise Index, which tracks the overall performance of 43 mainland Chinese state-owned enterprises on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, opened 168 points higher at 12,693.
