Sep. 15, 2009 (China Knowledge) - China imported 49.68 million tons of iron ore in August, 14.5% less than in July, when the nation’s iron ore imports totaled 58.08 million tons, according to statistics released by China's General Administration of Customs.
In the first eight months of this year, China imported 404.9 million tons of iron ore, 32% more than in the same period of last year.
