Acer PC shipment soars in Q2

Sep. 15, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Taiwan-based Acer Inc, the world's third-largest PC brand, shipped 8.2 million PCs in the second quarter of this year, representing a year-on-year growth of 23.3%, despite the economic slowdown, sources reported. Meanwhile, Hewlett-Packard recorded 13.4 million of PC shipment in Q2, ranking the first among global PC OEM manufacturers. Dell, shipped 9 million PCs
