Aug. 26, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Chinese stocks opened lower on Wednesday morning, tracking losses from the previous closing.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A shares and B shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, opened at 2,889.74 points, down 0.89% or 26.06 points from the previous closing.
The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller Shenzhen Stock Exchange opened 0.7
