Aug. 13, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Chinese stocks opened mixed on Thursday morning.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A shares and B shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, opened at 3,112.57 points, down 0.15 points from the previous closing.
The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller Shenzhen Stock Exchange opened 0.25% or 31.09 points higher at 12,622.75 points.
