Aug. 6, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Chinese stocks opened lower on Thursday morning, tracking losses from the previous closing.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A shares and B shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, opened at 3,401.48 points, down 0.79% or 27.02 points from the previous closing.
The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller Shenzhen Stock Exchange opened 0.89%
