Jul. 29, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Chinese stocks opened lower on Wednesday.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A shares and B shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, opened at 3,419.99 points, down 0.53% or 18.38 points from the previous closing.
The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller Shenzhen Stock Exchange opened 0.42% or 58.08 points lower at 13,778.6 points.
