Jul. 28, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Chinese stocks opened mixed on Tuesday morning.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A shares and B shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, opened at 3,434.32 points, down 0.03% or 0.89 points from the previous closing.
The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller Shenzhen Stock Exchange opened 0.31% or 42.45 points higher at 13,785.85 points.
