Jul. 23, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Chinese stocks opened slightly higher on Thursday morning, extending yesterday's gains.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A shares and B shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, opened at 3,301.1 points, up 0.14% or 1.49 points from the previous closing.
The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller Shenzhen Stock Exchange opened 0.16% or 21.
