Acer, Lenovo in top 5 in Q2 global PC shipment

Jul. 20, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Taiwan-based Acer Inc shipped 8.43 million PCs in the second quarter of this year, ranking the third after global PC brands HP and Dell, while Lenovo Group Ltd<0992> took fourth place shipping 5.76 million PCs, according to statistics recently released by research firm Interactive Data Corp. IDC's statistics show that HP accounted for 19.8% of Q2 global PC
