Jul. 17, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Chinese stocks opened slightly lower on Friday morning, tracking losses from the previous closing.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A shares and B shares on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, opened at 3,181 points, down 0.08% or 2 points from the previous closing.
The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller Shenzhen Stock Exchange opened 0.18
