Hang Seng Index opens 430 points higher on Thu

Jul. 16, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Hong Kong stocks rose on Thursday morning, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index opening 430 points higher at 18,689. The Hang Seng China Enterprise Index, which tracks the overall performance of 43 mainland Chinese state-owned enterprises on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, opened 276 points higher at 11,137. Denway Motors Ltd<0203> rose 0.79% to HK$3.85.
