Hang Seng Index opens 157 points higher on Wed

Jul. 15, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Hong Kong stocks rose on Wednesday morning, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index opening 157 points higher at 18,043. The Hang Seng China Enterprise Index, which tracks the overall performance of 43 mainland Chinese state-owned enterprises on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, opened 89 points higher at 10,741.
